Ava Gui Ling Yen participated in Miss Europe Continental Multinational 2024 and won the crown. Here is her interview for Miss Europe Continental.
– Brief introduction of yourself, what’s your name, which country do you represent?
My name is Ava, and I am thrilled and honoured for representing my country Singapore in this pageant. Singapore has shaped me into the person I am today, and I couldn’t be prouder to be an ambassador of my nation on this international stage.
– Who inspired you in your life / career?
Throughout my life, I have been fortunate to be surrounded by inspiring individuals, but one person who truly stands out is my mother. She has been my guiding light and a symbol of strength and resilience. Her unwavering belief in me and her determination to overcome challenges have taught me the value of perseverance and staying true to oneself. Her life journey has inspired me to embrace my uniqueness and follow my passions fearlessly, no matter the obstacles that may arise.
– I noticed that you are very active on social media, and you create a lot of content. What do you like about the world of social media?
Social media has truly revolutionised the way we connect and communicate with people from all around the world. What I love most about it is the ability to share my passions and interests with a global audience and empower voices that were once unheard. It has given me a platform to spread positivity, inspire others, and foster meaningful connections.
I am passionate about using this platform to promote positive messages, advocate for causes I deeply care about, and share my journey with authenticity. It brings me immense joy to engage with a diverse audience and encourage meaningful conversations that can inspire, educate, and uplift others.
– What would you never give up in your life?
One thing that I would never give up on is my values. My values define who I am as a person, and they guide me in making decisions that align with my true self. I cherish these principles as they shape my character and the positive impact I aim to make on the world.
Preparing for the Miss Europe Continental pageant has been an incredible journey. I have dedicated my time to work on my public speaking skills, and staying up-to-date with current events and social issues. Beyond that, I have also focused on maintaining a healthy lifestyle through regular exercise and a balanced diet, and making sure I take care of my mental wellness and keeping a positive mindset.
– Do you have any dreams in your drawer?
Absolutely! One of the dreams that I hold close to my heart is to become a role model for women of all ages. I believe that empowerment comes from within, and I am committed to showing women around the world that they have the strength and capability to achieve their aspirations – at any age they want to. We are not defined by our age and the society’s pressure of who and what we should be at any stage in life. We have all the power to define our own successes and milestones.
By embracing my uniqueness, sharing my journey, and leading by example, I hope to encourage women to pursue their passions with determination and fearlessness. Together, we can break barriers and uplift each other, creating a world where all woman’s dreams and aspirations are achievable.
