My name is Melisa Kubalakova, I’m from Slovakia. I’m currently a student of International Relations and Diplomacy, where I’m diving into the complexities of global issues. Alongside my studies, I’m also a model, which allows me to express my creativity and connect with diverse people from all walks of life. Family is incredibly important to me, and I cherish the moments spent with my loved ones. I have a passion for travel, which gives me the opportunity to explore new cultures and perspectives. When I’m not studying or modeling, you can often find me riding horses, which is one of my favorite ways to connect with nature and unwind. I’m also a proud dog owner, and my furry friend brings so much joy to my life! At the heart of everything I do is a deep passion for helping people and animals in need. As a member of the Red Cross, I’ve learned to value the important aspects of life, such as compassion, empathy, and service. I believe that every small act of kindness can create a ripple effect of positive change.

I would describe myself in these three words: strong, compassionate, resilient.
When did you start your modeling career?
I started my modeling career when I was just 14 years old, and it truly changed my life in profound ways. Beginning at such a young age allowed me to travel extensively, exposing me to different cultures and perspectives. This experience not only made me stronger and more resilient but also broadened my horizons and opened my mind to the world. Each journey has taught me invaluable lessons about diversity and creativity, shaping who I am today both personally and professionally.
In your opinion, what are the essential criteria to be a model?
In my view, the essential qualities of a successful model are authenticity and dedication. Authenticity allows a model to connect with others on a deeper level by showcasing their unique identity and story. When a model is true to themselves, they not only stand out but also inspire others to embrace their individuality. Equally important is dedication. The modeling industry is demanding, requiring resilience and a strong work ethic. A dedicated model approaches their craft with passion and determination, continuously seeking growth and excellence. This commitment not only enhances their skill but also elevates the entire industry, inspiring others to pursue their dreams.
Who is your model icon or source of inspiration?
My biggest source of inspiration is my mom. She has been my guiding light and taught me invaluable lessons that have shaped my outlook on life. She always said that if someone pushes you out the door, you should find a way to come back even if it’s through the window — an empowering reminder to never give up and to always pursue my dreams, no matter the obstacles. Her strength inspires me to dream big and to approach life with kindness. Because of her, I have developed strong family bonds and clear life priorities, understanding the importance of love and support in everything I do. She instilled in me the importance of helping others, which has become a core value in my life. My mom’s unwavering belief in myself motivates me to strive for greatness while uplifting those around me, and I am incredibly grateful for her influence.
How do you feel about the idea of participating in Miss Europe Continental?
I feel incredibly honored to represent my country, Slovakia, in Miss Europe Continental. This opportunity is not just about me, it’s a chance to inspire all the girls and women out there, especially those from small towns like mine. I want them to know that no matter where you come from, you can always make your dreams come true! I believe that together, we can encourage and uplift one another, creating a powerful community of empowered women. I’m truly excited to be part of this journey!
Tell us about your future projects.
In the near future, I’m embarking on a project that holds a very special place in my heart: supporting a Medical and Educational Sanatorium for children in my city. This is incredibly emotional for me because I believe every child deserves a safe and nurturing environment to grow and heal, regardless of their background or past experiences. That’s why I chose this sanatorium, it embodies hope and serves as a sanctuary for those who need it most. My goal is to mobilize support so that together, we can ensure that every child knows they are valued and supported. In addition, I plan to become the leader of the Red Cross in my area, just like my grandmother was for many years. I would like to follow in her footsteps because she is an extraordinary and inspiring woman, and I am immensely grateful to have her in my life. This is how I want to live my life, devoted to helping others, whether they have two legs or four, it fills my heart with purpose. I believe that every act of kindness, no matter how small, can make a difference.
